Details for February 14th
23:21 13th Feb 2026

Wasn’t our first day in Nagasaki truly unforgettable? From our introduction to the city’s rich history to that rare, up-close encounter with Nagasaki Geisha, it was a wonderful start.

Today is a fully packed day of exploration.

What Awaits You: To ensure a seamless experience and avoid overcrowding at our historic venues, the groups will explore some of the following highlights at different times:

  • Atomic Bomb Hypocenter & Peace Park: Stand at the exact epicenter of the 1945 blast and walk through a tranquil memorial dedicated to global peace and reflection.
  • Legacy Project Ceremony: Join a meaningful commemorative event where we will offer the paper cranes folded by WFTGA Convention participants.
  • 26 Martyrs Monument & Museum: Visit this impactful memorial on Nishizaka Hill, honoring the 26 saints executed in 1597 and the enduring legacy of Christianity in Japan.
  • Dejima: Step back in time at this meticulously restored fan-shaped island which was once Japan’s sole gateway to the Western world.
  • Glover Garden: Wander through Japan’s oldest Western-style residences and beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the stunning Nagasaki Harbor.

A Quick Tip for the Day: Nagasaki has a lot of sights in a compact area, so bus rides will be short and we’ll be spending most of the day on our feet. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring rain gear as it’s likely to rain tomorrow!
