Anime pilgrimage has become a bridge between pop culture and real-world exploration. During my speech, I will introduce the concept of seichi junrei, or anime pilgrimage, where fans visit the real-life locations featured in their favorite anime. Using examples from popular series such as Demon Slayer and Oshi no Ko, I will explain how these sites attract fans from around the world and contribute to local tourism. I will also highlight how guides can use anime-related travel to create meaningful cultural experiences that connect visitors with Japanese history, traditions, and everyday life. This talk aims to inspire guides to incorporate anime tourism into their itineraries as a fun and educational way to explore Japan.
