We will look at examples to understand how calligraphy is still used in modern Japanese life, before introducing the essential calligraphy tools (brush, ink, paper, ink stone).

Participants will be choose their favorite from a variety of samples and then start practicing. After receiving personal instruction, participants will create their final piece.
