Trainer Handbook

The standards, forms and templates used when delivering a WFTGA course. If you are preparing to deliver, read the delivery standards first — the assessment forms make more sense afterwards.

Contents

How a WFTGA course is run: group sizes, the balance of classroom and field work, the sequence of practical assessments, and what must be covered before a certificate can be issued.

Document to be uploaded by the Training Committee.

Practical guiding assessment forms, the written and oral examination framework, and guidance on the distinction between a Certificate of Successful Completion and a Certificate of Attendance.

Document to be uploaded by the Training Committee.

Each session carries a certificate text describing what was covered. Write it in the past tense, describing content rather than the participant — it is printed verbatim on the certificate and read by licensing bodies.

Signed by every member of the Training Division. Revised April 2020.

Document to be uploaded by the Training Committee.

After delivery, send the participant list, results and any joint-certification details to training@wftga.org so certificates can be issued and your training hours recorded.
