Friday - 6th FebruaryKagoshima: Life with an Active Volcano
We’ll journey south to Kagoshima, in the very south of Kyushu. A city that beautifully coexists with the powerful presence of an active volcano, Sakurajima.
Discover how local life thrives alongside this magnificent natural force, exploring the unique relationship between the people and their fiery neighbor. Immerse yourself in the profound worship of nature that permeates this stunning region, perhaps even witnessing Sakurajima’s plumes of ash from a safe distance, a testament to its constant, breathing power.

Kyushu's Countryside: Enduring Crafts and Artisinal Masters
As we journey north from Kagoshima, we’ll venture into Kyushu’s picturesque heartland, a region where the past is preserved in charming old towns and traditional arts passed down through centuries.
This is your chance to go beyond sightseeing. With a series of exclusive hands-on experiences, you’ll be invited to not just observe, but to truly immerse yourself in the rich, living culture of the region.

Sunday - 8th FebruaryKumamoto: A Story of Feudal Fortunes to Tranquil Beauty
Nestled in the heart of Kyushu, Kumamoto is a city of resilience and a testament to Japan’s enduring spirit. Dominated by the majestic Kumamoto Castle—a symbol of rebirth still being meticulously reconstructed by master craftsmen—the city blends a rich feudal past with a vibrant, modern energy.

Pre Convention Programme for Delegates
Delegates and their accompanying persons will leave the pre-programme after lunch on day 2 (Saturday 07 February) and return to Fukuoka.
Delegates will attend the General Assembly on Sunday 08 February, whilst a special cultural programme has been arranged for their accompanying persons in Fukuoka.
Highlights and Programme Features:
- Two-day cultural experience in Kagoshima and Kyushu’s countyside
- Expert-guided tours in English on both days
- Half-day programme for accompanying persons on Sunday 08 February to align with the General Assembly schedule
