🏨 Accommodation

As most Optional Tours are one-day tours, participants are responsible for organizing their own accommodation but if you’re joinning us for the Post-Programme we are more than happy to help out!

Scenario 1: You joined the Post-Programme

If you’ve joined us for the Post-Programme and wish to extend your stay to explore Kyoto for a few more days, we’re happy to assist you in finding suitable accommodation.

Scenario 2: You aren’t joining the Post-Programme or simply want to organize things yourself

Alternatively, should you wish to organize your stay independently consider booking your accommodation with our trusted partner Japanican*:

Book Hotels Independently

Aside from great western hotels they have an amazing selection of traditional Japanese inns (ryokan). Simply enter your desired destination and then chose ‘Ryokan’ under ‘Property type’.

⛩️ Tip: You can find especially nice ones in Kyoto and Hakone (around 2h from Tokyo).

🚆 Transportation

Similarly, as most Optional Tours are designed as one-day excursions, participants are responsible for organizing their own transportation to and from the meeting point. For instance, if you’re joining an Optional Tour in Tokyo after the Post-Programme concludes in Kyoto, you’ll need to arrange your travel to and within Tokyo independently.
(For those participating in the Post-Programme, all transportation is covered until it concludes in Kyoto.)

We understand that navigating transportation in a new country, especially without speaking the language, can seem a bit daunting! That’s why we’ve put together comprehensive recommendations, tips, and tricks under the ‘Helpful Information’ section.

✨We believe these Optional Tours to some of Japan’s most beautiful places are just what you need to satisfy your wanderlust and explore Japan on your own terms. Dive into these exciting additions and plan your perfect adventure! ✨
