WFTGA Hands on Tourist Guide Training (HoT) held in Moldova

🇲🇩 Another step forward for professional tourist guiding in Moldova!

From 12–18 October 2026, Moldova hosted its second WFTGA Hands on Tourist Guiding (HOT) course of the year, bringing together 12 participants, mainly from southern Moldova, with different levels of guiding experience.

Through intensive hands-on training, including walking and coach guiding in Chișinău and practical sessions at the National Museum of History of Moldova, participants strengthened their guiding skills, gained confidence and learned to apply a structured methodology to their tours.

The course was delivered by Tatiana Lupașcu, WFTGA National Trainer accredited to deliver the HOT programme, together with Maria Axenti, WFTGA National Trainer.

This initiative marks another step towards expanding WFTGA professional guiding standards in Moldova, supporting local guides and contributing to the development of high-quality tourism experiences.

The course was organised within the HumanDoc Foundation project “Sustainable Tourism as a Driver of Local Entrepreneurship Development in Moldova”, with financial support from the Polish Aid Programme. The project is financed from the state budget under the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

Thank you Tatiana and Maria for sharing your wonderful event with us. Congratulations to all the newly trained tourist guides. We look forward to following your progress!
