The WFTGA Cultour Card
A symbol of professional recognition for qualified tourist guides worldwide: a personalised benefit card for professional tourist guides in our global network, and a bridge between cultures.
More than a pass
The Cultour Card is a personalised benefit card issued by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations. It is designed exclusively for professional tourist guides who are part of our global network, either through a WFTGA member association or as Individual Members.
The card is not an ID, but a recognisable token of professionalism and training, showing that the holder is committed to the highest standards of tourist guiding.

How tourist guides obtain the card
- Members of WFTGA member associationscontact your local association to access the official order form.
- Individual WFTGA membersrequest the form by writing to info@wftga.org.
Please note: the card must always be presented together with your official tourist guide identification. While many institutions do offer access, WFTGA cannot guarantee specific benefits.

Tourist guides are more than hosts: they are educators, heritage interpreters and cultural mediators. When you recognise the WFTGA Cultour Card, you support:

WFTGA guides are formally trained and qualified, often licensed by public authorities. They continuously engage in lifelong learning, regularly updating their knowledge of history, heritage, sustainability, accessibility and storytelling. WFTGA is a non-profit organisation based in Vienna, representing professional tourist guides worldwide. We are proud to be an Affiliate Member of UN Tourism and an NGO partner of UNESCO.

Museums, attractions and activities that recognise the card. Currently WFTGA has 70 partners in 13 countries, and we want to grow our family. All partners have received a letter confirming the validity of the card. For a copy of this letter for your association and partners, or to suggest a new partner, contact cultour@wftga.org.
