Shape the future of the guiding profession

WFTGA is run by tourist guides, for tourist guides — every President, Board member, Area Representative and convention helper started exactly where you are now. Whether you have an hour a month or want to lead a portfolio: there is a place for you in our worldwide team.

Ways to get involved

Six doors into the Federation — pick yours. Many of our leaders started as convention volunteers or delegates, grew into Area Representatives and later joined the Executive Board.

Member of an association

The foundation of everything: join your local WFTGA member association — or help found one where none exists yet.

Delegate of your association

Represent your association at the General Assembly: vote on the future of the Federation, elect the Executive Board and bring your country’s voice to the world stage.

Volunteer at a convention

Help make our international conventions happen — from registration desks to workshops and tours. The best way to experience WFTGA from the inside.

Area Representative

Be the face of WFTGA in your world region: first contact for associations and guides, helping new associations get started and existing ones connect.

Executive Board

Lead the Federation: the volunteer Executive Board is elected for two years at each Convention. Candidates must be actively practising tourist guides. Detailed role descriptions are available for members.

Advertised positions

From time to time we advertise specific roles — volunteer task forces, co-opted specialists or paid support positions. Current openings are published on this page.

Apply now

One form for everything — tell us who you are and how you would like to get involved, and the right person on the team will get back to you personally. During election periods, formal Executive Board nominations run through a separate official form announced to all member associations.
