Three ways to become a member
Choose the category that describes you. Each page explains benefits, fees, the application form and answers to common questions.
Full Members
National and regional associations of tourist guides whose members are officially registered or licensed. Full Members are the backbone of the Federation and hold the voting rights.
Individual Members
Professional tourist guides from countries where no association exists, or where the existing association is not a WFTGA member.
Affiliate Partners
Tourism boards, training institutes, technology providers, agencies and other organisations that support professional tourist guiding.

Tourist guides, not tour guides
In every membership category, WFTGA stands for tourist guides: locally licensed, locally knowledgeable professionals, as distinct from unlicensed tour guides, tour managers or tour directors.
That is what makes our network valuable for associations, guides and partners alike: a shared commitment to qualification, ethics and local expertise.

Membership at a glance
Annual fees for associations and individual guides depend on the tier of your country (GDP per capita).

The Executive Board reviews every application and decides within one month.
After approval and payment of the fee, all member services are open to you.
