WFTGA Association Members

Our annual Association Journeys are once again approaching – a cherished WFTGA tradition that brings our global family of Tourist Guide Associations together to learn from one another and to grow collectively. These sessions offer a unique space for associations to exchange their challenges, successes, innovations and visions for the future. They are one of the most powerful examples of what makes our Federation so special: the ability to learn with and from each other across continents and cultures.

Over the years, the presentations from participating associations have become an invaluable repository of knowledge. We encourage everyone to explore the collection of previous Association Journeys – a rich resource especially useful for Treasurers, Chairpersons, Board Members, and anyone wishing to strengthen their association’s professional structures and community impact.

We also warmly encourage Tourist Guides to motivate their association boards to participate. Taking part in the Association Journeys is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work of your association, highlight national or regional developments, and present your organisation as a leader within the global guiding community. Your voice and experience can inspire colleagues around the world and contribute significantly to the collective progress of our profession.

What's inside the Associations Journeys

Each session brings together several associations, one after another, presenting to the whole WFTGA family over video call. Expect a look inside how a fellow association actually runs – their board structure and elections, how they train and licence guides, how they generate income and manage membership, the campaigns and events that got attention back home, and the setbacks they had to work through along the way.
