WFTGA Vice President Emma Guest-Consales attended IMEX America in Las Vegas, NV on October 13-15, 2026, as a hosted buyer sponsored by ICCA. She met with vendors and representatives from hotels, conference centers, vendors, and ministries of tourism. Emma focused on meeting with representatives from Peru (site of the 2028 Convention) and Montenegro (site of the 2027 Trainers Conference).

Her meetings with Peruvian representatives included hotel representatives to learn about possible sites for the 2028 conference, and a chat with Elva Yanez of PROMPERÚ, the Trade, Tourism and Investment Commission of Peru. Ms. Yanez knows WFTGA members Patricia Oviedo and Leylys Ccoscco who are organizing the convention and pledged her support. Emma also met with Aleksandra Maksimovic, Director of Montenegro Convention Bureau of the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro. Ms. Maksimovic was excited to hear of the Training Conference, and looks forward to welcoming WFTGA Trainers to Montenegro in March 2027. Emma also met with representatives from South Africa who were eager to hear about WFTGA’s outreach to African nations.
