The bidding process for the upcoming convention unfolded over two exciting rounds. After not having enough eligible bidders in the first round, we opened a second round to any organization ready to step forward and host — and the response was fantastic!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Bidding Committee has accepted four strong bids, representing the following countries and organizations:

• Ethiopia – Ethiopian Tourist Guides Professionals Association
• Kazakhstan – Kazakhstan Tourist Guides Association
• Malaysia – Sabah Tourist Guides Association
• Peru – ASGUIPA (Asociación de Guías Profesionales de Turismo Arequipa) & QHAPAQ YACHAY (Cusco)

All bidders will take the stage at the Convention in Fukuoka on 9 February, where they will present their proposals to all participants. This will be followed by Q&A sessions during the General Assembly, and bidders will also host dedicated stands throughout the convention — the perfect chance to connect, ask questions, and explore each bid in depth.
