Dear online Participants:
As part of the WFTGA International Convention in Japan, we are pleased to warmly invite all online participants to take in a series of moderated Global Round Tables held online. This format ensures inclusive participation from our worldwide guiding community, regardless of location.
- 🗓 Tuesday, 10 February
- ⏰ 17:00–18:30 (exceptionally Vienna time)
- 📍 Join us Online via Zoom
The discussions will be based on ten key themes identified over the past year through the Global Networking Forums. These themes reflect the current priorities, challenges, and aspirations of tourist guides around the world.
The sessions will be carefully prepared and expertly moderated by Maricar Donato together with the WFTGA Area Representatives, ensuring a structured, respectful, and forward-looking exchange in line with the WFTGA Code of Guiding Practice.
The outcomes of the Online Round Tables will be presented on Friday, the Closing Day of the Convention, and further explored in a dedicated panel discussion. These collective insights will inform concrete actions following the Convention and will serve as a foundation for continued work leading towards the next WFTGA Convention in 2028.
By engaging in this global dialogue — including through online participation — we reaffirm our shared commitment to professionalism, ethics, sustainability, cultural sensitivity, and the ongoing development of our profession.
