Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA)
1. Scope
1.1. These T&Cs apply to all services provided by the WFTGA, including online courses, on-site training sessions, conferences, and merchandise sales.
1.2. Deviations from these terms are only valid if expressly confirmed in writing by the WFTGA.
2. Registration and Contract Formation
2.1. Registration for events or purchases of products is made online or in writing and becomes binding once confirmed by the WFTGA.
2.2. By registering or purchasing, participants accept these T&Cs.
3. Services and Scope of Performance
3.1. The scope of services is outlined in the respective event description. Services not explicitly mentioned (e.g., meals, accommodation, travel expenses) are not included in the fee.
3.2. The WFTGA reserves the right to make changes to the programme, provided they do not significantly alter the overall character of the event.
4. Cancellation and Withdrawal
4.1. Cancellations by participants are free of charge up to 7 days before the start of the event.
4.2. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will be subject to the full fee.
4.3. The WFTGA reserves the right to cancel events due to insufficient participant numbers or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., force majeure). In such cases, any fees already paid will be fully refunded. Further claims are excluded.
5. Liability
5.1. The WFTGA is only liable for damages caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
5.2. The WFTGA assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage of personal belongings during events.
6. Copyright and Use of Materials
6.1. All materials provided during the events are protected by copyright and are intended for personal use only.
6.2. Distribution or commercial use of the materials is strictly prohibited.
7. Photo and Video Recordings
7.1. Photos and videos may be taken during events for documentation and marketing purposes, including social media. By participating, attendees consent to their potential inclusion in such material.
7.2. If participants do not wish to be included, they must notify the WFTGA in writing before the event.
8. Payment Terms
8.1. Fees are due upon registration or by the payment deadline stated on the invoice.
8.2. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods specified by the WFTGA.
9. Data Protection
9.1. Personal data of participants will be used solely for event organisation and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
9.2. Data will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent.
10. Miscellaneous
10.1. Should any provision of these T&Cs be deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
10.2. These T&Cs are governed exclusively by Austrian law. The place of jurisdiction is Vienna, Austria, where the WFTGA is headquartered.
