Kazuo Miyata

Chief Operating Officer of the Twenty-Six Martyrs Museum (Nagasaki), Part-Time Lecturer at Nagasaki University
Observer of the Nagasaki Archdiocese History Committee, Member of the Expert Review Committee for Cruise Tourism Promotion

I was born in Nagasaki City in 1965 and later graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Kokugakuin University, Tokyo, in 1989, but I returned to Nagasaki later on to start my own business. In 2013 I joined the Japan 26 Martyrs Museum (Christian History Museum), which is administered by the Society of Jesus Japan Province. Here, I’m responsible for: museum guiding, external negotiations, managing the adjacent Church of St. Philip, and hosting visiting researchers.
