Koso Katayama

Instructor at the Sogetsu School Headquarters
Head of the Fukuoka Chapter of the Sogetsu School

The Sogetsu School is one of the most prominent modern schools of Ikebana, known for its emphasis on free expression, creativity, and using diverse, non-traditional materials, contrasting with the more rigid, classical styles. As a Sogetsu School Headquarters Instructor and Head of the Fukuoka Chapter, I am actively involved in promoting Ikebana both in Japan and overseas. Through teaching and organizing exhibitions, I am dedicated to sharing the profound beauty of this traditional Japanese art form with the world.
