The course is delivered in English. Practical assessments and written or oral examinations are conducted in English, so participants need a working knowledge of the language.

Successful participants qualify as WFTGA National Trainers and may join the WFTGA Training Division.
This course covered the role of WFTGA and of WFTGA Trainers; a communication seminar including module presentation, self and partner evaluation, video sessions and feedback; coaching skills; practical training skills including tutoring on walk, at museum or site and on coach; feedback and assessment skills; approaches to and methodology of adult learning; and standards for professional tourist guide training programmes. Participants completed practical assessments of training and tuition skills and a written and/or oral examination.
