Meet the 2024 – 2026 WFTGA Training Committee
WFTGA is dedicated to the promotion of high standards of training and ethics within the [tourist guide] profession (WFTGA Constitution, Article 2). Hence, we have a team of qualified and dedicated trainers, called the Training Division. The day-to-day training-related activities are led by the WFTGA Training Committee, which is formed every 2 years.
Meet the 2024 – 2026 WFTGA Training Committee
- Demetra Argyrou Viguier ([email protected]) was re-elected by the trainers as their Trainer Representative. Demetra is a Lead International Trainer and actively works as a Tourist Guide in Cyprus.
- James Saunders ([email protected]) was re-elected to the WFTGA ExBo and continues to serve on the Training Committee in the position of non-WFTGA Trainer, adding a different perspective. James is a tourist guide in Toronto.
- Mateusz Tomaszczyk ([email protected]) was appointed by the Training Committee in the position of experienced trainer. He is a Lead International Trainer and joins the Training Committee for the first time. Mateusz works as a tourist guide in Krakow.
- Hussein Dehghan ([email protected]) was co-opted to the Training Committee. He is an International Trainer and works as a Tourist Guide in Iran.
- Viola Lewis ([email protected]) was re-elected to the WFTGA ExBo and continues to look after the Training Portfolio as Head of the Training Division. She held this position since 2019 and is now in her last 2-year term. Viola is a Lead International Trainer and an actively working Tourist Guide in Scotland.
- WFTGA President Sebastian Frankenberger ([email protected]) is an ex-officio member of the Training Committee.
- Ivana Curuvija ([email protected]) continues to serve as Arbitrator on the Training Committee.
